Grain Producer’s Association-Hungary(GPAH)

Our association had been formed in 2004 for the growers of the grain section, with a company court registration date on 14 July 2004.
Professional interest representation for the grain productline including - oily (sunflower, rape, soya), protein and fibre - other plant growers.

Our activity’s main aims are:
Protecting our members interests related to plant cultivation containing the representation of growers interests in sectional and in the regulation of the European Union. Protecting members against the breach of their interests also against discrimination in their economical relationships with other economical characters.

Developing the members agricultural knowledge and informing regularly about public information of plant cultivation. The Association insures the uniform representation of grain producer’s interests, increasing the growers interest enforce ability.

The Association is co-operating with other associations (Poultry Association, Sheep Association, Milk Association, Rabbit Association, Meat Association, Seed grain Association) and with interest representations (Hungarian Agricultural Institute, Grain Alliances, and co-operation with MAGOSZ, MOSZ, Hungarian Peasant Association), whose main activities are in connection with the grain section, and we are continously building new, and already existing relationships.

Members are paying membership fees on a yearly base which is set by the Meeting delegates.

Our memberships composed of 2.939 producers, they have a 1,5 million ha plant area, 1.326 persons,farmers, growers, and 1.613 agricultural companies. 24.378 employees working in different companies.

Every grain producer is a natural and legal entity who accepts the fundamental rules, pay for the membership and requests the admission in written membership declaration. At the same time this membership declaration is for obtaining the members personal informations.

The membership fee is set by the Meeting delegates on a yearly base. Membership fee for year 2007:

• for producers of grain standing 20 HUF/hectare ( 0,08 Euro), but minimum of 1000 HUF/member ( 3,9 Euro)
• for not grain producers the flat price is of 100000 HUF ( 392 Euro)

The strength of membership - for the member’s request - the Grain Producers Association can give the needid certifications, supports declarations wich can be used for submitting the applications and the usage of state subsidies, discounts.
